Employment and Disability

Authors : Karine Gros, Gérard Lefranc
Editor : Editions législatives – ESF éditeur (Groupe Lefèbvre Dalloz)

Written by actors in the field of integration and job retention for people with disabilities, this book questions corporate social responsibility (CSR) by considering it as a lever for changes in management and the work environment.

It questions the variability of work situations, support environments, the notion of capability, resilience behaviors, the feeling of personal effectiveness and the power to act.

It proposes different examples of support and inclusion systems for people with disabilities in order to highlight new forms of management and support.

Its objective: to question managerial innovation and the evolution of forms of work for better equity, professional well-being and the development of everyone’s skills for greater performance.

This book is intended for managers, enrollment officers, disability advisors and disability project managers in public organizations and private companies, but also for disability integration officers, diversity advisors, CSR advisors, HR managers and company managers in charge of health and safety at work.

Preface by Marie-Anne Montchamp, President of the Caisse nationale de solidarité pour l’autonomie (CNSA), honorary patron of the inter-university diploma “Référent handicap, secteur privé, secteur public” (UPEC-UPEM)

Professionalizing the disability advisor

Author : Karine Gros
Editor : Editions législatives – ESF éditeur (Groupe Lefèbvre Dalloz)

The law “For the freedom to choose one’s professional future”, adopted in August 2018, reinforces the obligation of direct employment of disabled workers by employers. In this context, the training of disability advisors is crucial for private companies and public organizations to participate in the construction of an inclusive society.

In an effort to raise awareness of disability situations, and to professionalize and enhance the expertise of actors, this book provides :

  • general and transversal knowledge and skills;
  • techniques and protocols that promote access to professional activities for people with disabilities and their retention in employment…

It favors training based on the interaction and synergy of theoretical contributions, good practices (case studies, innovative actions, process sheets and memo sheets), positioning tools and evaluation of acquired knowledge.

Its objective is to enable its readers to use the knowledge provided to understand and analyze work contexts and disability situations in order to successfully integrate and maintain people with disabilities in the workplace.

This book is intended for disability advisors, disability project managers, disability integration officers, but also for diversity advisors, CSR advisors, HR managers, and company managers in charge of health and safety at work.

Preface by Adrien Taquet, Deputy for Hauts-de-Seine, member of the CNCPH and author of the report “Plus simple la vie”.
Postface by Gérard Lefranc, Director of Mission Insertion Thales.
